Static structure factor
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011335
A measure of the spatial correlations between particles in a system, often determined by scattering experiments such as X-ray or neutron scattering. It describes how the density fluctuations in a material are spatially organized. For polymers, it provides information about chain conformation and intermolecular interactions in solution or in the bulk state.
