Thermogravimetric analysis

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011969

A thermal analysis technique that measures the change in mass of a sample as a function of temperature or time in a controlled atmosphere. This method is used to study decomposition, dehydration, oxidation, and other processes involving mass loss or gain. The resulting thermogravimetric curve provides quantitative information about these changes.
