Time of centrifugation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012065
The time interval in a centrifugation run from switching the centrifuge on to switching it off, so it includes the period in which the rotor speeds up but not the period in which it slows to a stop. Because acceleration is counted, the true time at full speed is shorter than this value. It is reported in minutes together with the relative centrifugal force, as in 10 minutes at 1500 g.
