Time-correlated single photon counting

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012066

A highly sensitive technique used to measure fluorescence lifetimes by detecting individual photons and recording their arrival times relative to an excitation pulse. This method builds up a histogram of photon arrival times, which directly reflects the fluorescence decay kinetics. It is capable of measuring lifetimes in the picosecond to microsecond range.
