Frequency-domain fluorometry

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004669

A technique for measuring fluorescence lifetimes by exciting a sample with sinusoidally modulated light and detecting the phase shift and demodulation of the emitted fluorescence. The phase shift and demodulation are related to the fluorescence lifetime. This method provides an alternative to time-domain measurements for determining excited-state decay kinetics.
