Triplet-triplet absorption
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012295
The absorption of a photon by a molecule that is already in an excited triplet electronic state, promoting it to a higher-energy triplet state. This process occurs after intersystem crossing from an excited singlet state to the triplet manifold. Triplet-triplet absorption spectra are typically observed in transient absorption experiments using pulsed laser excitation.
