Triplet-triplet annihilation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012296
A process in photochemistry where two molecules, both in their triplet excited states, collide. This interaction results in one molecule returning to its ground electronic state while the other is promoted to a higher energy singlet excited state. The higher energy singlet state can then emit light, leading to delayed fluorescence.
