Turnover frequency

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012366

The number of times a catalytic cycle is completed per active site per unit time. It is a measure of the intrinsic activity of a catalyst, indicating how many reactant molecules are converted into products by a single catalytic site in a given period. This value is typically expressed in units of s⁻¹ or min⁻¹.
