Urethanes
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013683
Organic compounds containing a carbamate functional group, which consists of an amino group and an ester group linked by a carbonyl group. They are formed by the reaction of an isocyanate with an alcohol. Polyurethanes are polymers formed from repeating urethane linkages and are widely used in foams, coatings, and adhesives.
