Wolfgram protein
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012711
A high molecular weight protein component found in the myelin sheath of the central nervous system. It is a proteolipid protein, meaning it is tightly associated with lipids, and contributes to the structural integrity and stability of myelin. This protein is distinct from other major myelin proteins like myelin basic protein and proteolipid protein 1.
