Integration time
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-003041
The duration over which a sensor or detector accumulates a signal before processing or readout. This period determines the amount of light or energy collected, influencing the signal-to-noise ratio and dynamic range of the measurement. Longer integration times generally yield higher sensitivity but can lead to saturation or blur in dynamic scenes.
