Liquefied natural gas

Natural gas that has been cooled to approximately -162 degrees Celsius (-260 degrees Fahrenheit), converting it into a liquid state for easier and more economical storage and transportation. This process reduces its volume by about 600 times, allowing large quantities to be shipped across oceans in specialized tankers. Upon arrival, it is regasified for distribution through pipelines.
