Total digestible nutrients

A measure of the energy content of a feedstuff, representing the sum of the digestible crude protein, crude fiber, nitrogen-free extract, and fat (multiplied by 2.25). This value indicates the proportion of nutrients in a feed that an animal can actually digest and use for energy. TDN is expressed as a percentage or in units of weight.
