Confusingly similar

A standard used in trademark law to determine if a proposed mark so closely resembles an existing, registered mark that it is likely to cause confusion, mistake, or deception among consumers. The analysis considers the similarity of the marks in appearance, sound, and meaning, as well as the relatedness of the goods or services. Under the Lanham Act, a trademark application will be refused if the mark is found to be confusingly similar to a prior registered mark.
