Continuing trespass

Term · Law · MLC-T-LAW-001269

An ongoing unauthorized intrusion onto another's land that persists after the initial act of entry. Each day the trespass continues constitutes a new cause of action, allowing the landowner to seek damages for the entire duration. This differs from a single, isolated act of trespass, which concludes once the intruder leaves the property.
