McNabb-Mallory Rule

A federal evidentiary rule that excludes confessions obtained from a suspect who was not promptly brought before a magistrate after arrest. This rule aims to prevent coercive interrogation tactics during periods of unlawful detention. It applies to federal criminal proceedings and is distinct from the Miranda warnings.
