Boltzmann's constant
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003973
A fundamental physical constant that relates the average kinetic energy of particles in a gas to the absolute temperature of the gas. It is denoted by 'k' and has a value of approximately 1.380649 × 10^-23 joules per kelvin. This constant is central to the ideal gas law and statistical mechanics, describing the behavior of atmospheric gases.
