Eolation
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010495
The process by which wind modifies the Earth's surface through erosion, transportation, and deposition of loose material. This geological process is particularly prominent in arid and semi-arid regions, where vegetation cover is sparse. Eolation leads to the formation of features such as sand dunes, ventifacts, and loess deposits.
