Evaporation frost

A type of frost that forms when water vapor from a warmer, moist surface directly deposits as ice crystals onto a colder surface. This process occurs without the intermediate formation of liquid water. It is often observed on cold objects placed in humid air, such as car windshields or vegetation during clear, calm nights.
