Fading

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005532

A temporary reduction in the strength of a radio signal, often caused by variations in the propagation path through the atmosphere. In meteorology, this phenomenon can affect radar signals due to atmospheric attenuation or multipath propagation. Fading can lead to a loss of signal quality or complete signal dropout.
