Multipath transmission
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007451
The phenomenon where a radio signal travels from a transmitter to a receiver via two or more distinct paths, often due to reflections from terrain, buildings, or atmospheric layers. In meteorological remote sensing, this can lead to interference and errors in measurements, particularly for ground-based radar or GPS signals. It can cause ghost echoes or inaccurate positioning data.
