Halogens

A group of highly reactive nonmetallic elements, including fluorine, chlorine, bromine, and iodine, found in the atmosphere. These elements, particularly chlorine and bromine, participate in catalytic reactions that deplete stratospheric ozone. They are often released into the atmosphere through both natural processes and anthropogenic emissions.
