Isochoric
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006692
Relating to a thermodynamic process that occurs at a constant specific volume. In atmospheric science, an isochoric process involves changes in the pressure and temperature of a parcel of air while its density is held fixed. This contrasts with more frequently analyzed atmospheric processes such as isobaric (constant pressure) or isothermal (constant temperature) changes.
