Karst

A distinctive type of topography formed from the dissolution of soluble rocks such as limestone, dolomite, and gypsum. It is characterized by sinkholes, caves, underground drainage systems, and a lack of surface rivers. The unique hydrological features of karst landscapes are a result of chemical weathering processes.
