Linear
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006979
Describing a relationship or system where the output is directly proportional to the input, or where changes in one variable result in proportional changes in another. In atmospheric science, this applies to models or processes where superposition holds, meaning the combined effect of multiple causes is the sum of their individual effects. A linear equation can be represented graphically as a straight line.
