Liquid water path
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006994
The total mass of liquid water contained in a vertical column of the atmosphere, extending from the surface to the top of the cloud layer. It represents the integrated amount of liquid water droplets present within a cloud or cloud system. This quantity is measured in units of grams per square meter or kilograms per square meter and is a key parameter in understanding cloud radiative properties and precipitation formation.
