Molar specific heat capacity
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007382
The amount of heat energy required to raise the temperature of one mole of a substance by one Kelvin or one degree Celsius. This property reflects how much energy a substance can store per mole for a given temperature change. For ideal gases, the molar specific heat capacity at constant pressure is typically higher than at constant volume due to work done during expansion.
