Mountain-wave cloud

A type of cloud formation that develops in the crests of mountain waves, indicating the presence of these atmospheric oscillations. Lenticular clouds are the most common form, appearing as smooth, lens-shaped clouds that remain stationary even in strong winds. These clouds are visual indicators of atmospheric stability and wave activity.
