Peroxyacetyl nitrate

A secondary air pollutant formed in the troposphere from the photochemical reactions of volatile organic compounds and nitrogen oxides. It is a component of photochemical smog and is known to be a strong eye irritant and phytotoxicant. PAN is more stable than ozone and can be transported over long distances.
