Radiation torque
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008304
A rotational force exerted on an object by electromagnetic radiation, resulting from the transfer of angular momentum from photons to the object. This effect is generally very small but can influence the orientation of small particles or spacecraft in space. It is distinct from radiation pressure, which is a linear force.
