Soft rime

A type of ice accretion that forms when supercooled water droplets freeze upon contact with a surface, typically in fog or low clouds. It appears opaque, white, and granular, with a relatively low density due to trapped air. Soft rime is less dense and adheres less strongly than hard rime.
