Speed of light

The constant speed at which all electromagnetic radiation, including visible light, propagates through a vacuum. It is a fundamental physical constant, denoted by 'c'. In a vacuum, its value is approximately 299,792,458 meters per second, a value that is slightly reduced when light travels through the Earth's atmosphere.
