Subtropical convergence

A zone where air masses originating from the subtropics meet and converge, often characterized by descending air and relatively stable atmospheric conditions. This convergence contributes to the formation of subtropical high-pressure systems. It is distinct from the Intertropical Convergence Zone, which occurs closer to the equator.
