Wave cyclone

A type of extratropical cyclone that forms along a frontal boundary, typically a stationary front, and develops a characteristic wave-like shape as it intensifies. This system is also known as a frontal cyclone or mid-latitude cyclone. It is responsible for much of the changeable weather in temperate regions.
