Aggradational
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000077
Describing a sedimentary process where the rate of sediment accumulation is greater than the rate of subsidence, leading to a net upward growth of the sedimentary package. This results in a vertical stacking of depositional environments. Aggradational sequences are common in river deltas and coastal plains where sediment supply is high.
