Ball catcher

A device installed in a wellbore to retrieve or retain a dropped ball, often used in conjunction with ball-activated tools. It prevents the ball from falling further down the well and obstructing operations or damaging equipment. Ball catchers are common in fracturing operations where multiple balls are dropped to activate stages.
