Brute stack
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000472
A quick preliminary stack of a seismic data set made with a rough regional velocity function for normal moveout and only simple static corrections, before detailed velocity analysis and refined statics. It is run early in processing to check data quality and give a first look at structure. It is later replaced by a final stack that uses picked velocities and residual statics.
