Carbon density

A measurement derived from specialized logging tools that indicates the concentration of carbon atoms within a formation. This measurement is particularly useful in distinguishing between different types of hydrocarbons, such as oil and gas, and in identifying organic-rich shales. It is often presented in units of grams per cubic centimeter or as a relative index.
