Cesium formate
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000629
A salt of cesium and formic acid, employed to create high-density, solids-free brine drilling fluids. These fluids are favored for drilling challenging wells, especially those with high pressures and temperatures, due to their superior density and low viscosity. Cesium formate brines are known for their environmental compatibility and minimal formation damage.
