Filtered brine

A clear, solids-free salt solution used as a completion or workover fluid, from which suspended solids have been removed through filtration. This fluid minimizes formation damage by preventing the introduction of particulate matter into the reservoir. Common salts used include sodium chloride, calcium chloride, and calcium bromide.
