Chain tongs

A hand tool used to apply torque to tubular goods, such as drill pipe, casing, or tubing, during make-up or break-out operations. It consists of a handle, a jaw, and a chain that wraps around the pipe to provide grip. Chain tongs are commonly used for smaller diameter pipes or in situations where power tongs are not feasible.
