Chrome lignite
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000665
A modified lignite product treated with chromium compounds, used as a deflocculant and fluid loss control agent in water-based drilling fluids. It disperses clay particles and reduces the viscosity of mud while forming a thin, impermeable filter cake on the wellbore wall. This additive is effective in high-temperature environments, maintaining mud stability under challenging conditions.
