Pregelatinized starch
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002904
A modified starch product used as a fluid loss control additive in water-based drilling fluids. It is processed to be readily dispersible in cold water, forming a viscous solution that reduces the invasion of drilling fluid into permeable formations. This additive is effective in minimizing filter cake thickness and maintaining wellbore integrity.
