Churn flow
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000672
A multiphase flow regime in vertical or inclined pipes characterized by an oscillating, intermittent flow of liquid and gas. It occurs at intermediate gas and liquid flow rates, where the gas phase forms large, unstable bubbles that move upward through a continuous liquid phase. This regime is often observed between slug flow and annular flow.
