Contact angle
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000824
The angle formed when a liquid droplet rests on a solid surface, measured through the liquid to the solid. This angle quantifies the wettability of the solid by the liquid, indicating how strongly the liquid adheres to the surface. A contact angle less than 90 degrees suggests the surface is water-wet, while an angle greater than 90 degrees indicates it is oil-wet.
