Conventional reservoir

A subsurface rock formation where hydrocarbons have accumulated in porous and permeable rock, allowing them to flow naturally or with minimal stimulation to a wellbore. These reservoirs are characterized by distinct oil-water or gas-water contacts and are relatively easy to produce. Examples include sandstone and carbonate formations with interconnected pore spaces.
