Conventional mud

A water-based drilling fluid formulated with bentonite clay, barite for density, and lignosulfonates or lignites for rheology control and filtration. This type of mud is widely used for drilling through stable formations and at moderate temperatures. Its composition is simpler compared to synthetic or oil-based drilling fluids.
