Copper carbonate

A chemical compound, CuCO3, used as a scavenger in drilling fluids to remove hydrogen sulfide (H2S), a highly toxic and corrosive gas. It reacts with H2S to form insoluble copper sulfide, thereby mitigating safety and corrosion risks. This compound is typically added to the mud system in powder form.
