Crossline

A direction perpendicular to the primary acquisition direction of seismic data, often referred to as the inline direction. In 3D seismic surveys, data are acquired along a series of parallel inline profiles, and crosslines connect points across these profiles. This orientation is used for visualizing and interpreting seismic volumes.
