Perpendicular resistivity

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002755

The electrical resistivity measured in a direction perpendicular to the bedding planes of a formation. This measurement is obtained using logging tools that induce current flow across the layers, providing information about the electrical properties of the rock matrix and its contained fluids. It contrasts with parallel resistivity, which measures along the bedding planes.
